Crafted by hand in Texas, our leather A5 Journal Cover is made to last a lifetime of ideas, sketches, and notes. It features premium full-grain leather, sourced from the renowned Badalassi Carlo Tannery in Italy, a tannery celebrated for rich character and deep, evolving patina.
Our journal cover is made by hand. Each cover is hand-cut and hand-stitched in-house, built one at a time with care. It also includes an inner pocket for notes or cards (4 in. x 4.5 in.), a built-in pen loop, and fits an A5 journal insert (5.8 in. x 8.3 in.).
To make it uniquely yours, we also offer in-house laser engraving. Perfect for adding a name, initials, or short message. Each engraving is finished by hand for a clean, lasting result.

Engraving Details
- We offer custom laser engraving in-house at our Fort Worth, TX workshop using a precision CO₂ laser.
- Free for standard text requests (extra work may incur an additional charge)
- Available on wood and leather products
- Choose from 10 fonts and designated engraving locations shown in the diagram above
- Add initials, a name, or a short message. Perfect for gifting or making your piece truly one of a kind
Character Limit & Formatting
- Up to 50 characters, including spaces and punctuation
- Text and standard special characters allowed (no emojis)
- Engraved exactly as entered, please double-check spelling before checkout
Production & Returns
- Typically, no added lead time, but may extend by 1–2 business days during peak periods
- If engraving instructions are unclear, we’ll contact you before proceeding
- Engraved items are final sale unless an engraving error was made by us
- Because everything is made and engraved in-house, we also welcome custom ideas. Logos, non-standard text, and more. Just send us a Custom Engraving Request or email, and we’ll be happy to help.

All Lonoke Designs' products are made in-house, because of this orders typically ship within 1-3 business days. Customized items may take 5-7 business days to ship. For high-demand items or during peak times, processing may take slightly longer. If there's a delay, we'll let you know right away.
